Me and My Family of 5 had an amazing night on the 16th of December 2024, the service was outstanding, the food was on point.Thank You to the most humble and sweet Manager by the of Smanga, she made sure that we get all the great service we needed, we'll definitely come back!!!!

Amazing location, perfect gateway from the busy city life. The food is to die for. Friendly staff except the receptionist on night duty was terrible (both nights), was on the phone and had little patience for helping out especially with directions of the rooms. Stinky attitude quite disappointing as all other staff are exceptional. Booked a picnic and was given the pool area where they was a baby shower so much noise, sound, music that made the whole experience very very unpleasant, ended up leaving the picnic for some quite .I would definitely go back,minus the picnic package and hope for another receptionist.

Very secluded, the workers are so friendly and always willing to assist. Food is amazing, I recommend their lamb curry and chicken wrap. Cocktails were flavourful and every rand spent there is worth it. Perfect for a family vacation or honeymoon. Rooms are private with beautiful views.

From the moment we arrived at The Blades, we were absolutely speechless. This was our first time visiting, and it undoubtedly ranks as one of the best places we’ve ever experienced. Everything about this hidden gem exceeded our expectations—from the breathtaking natural surroundings to the impeccable service and world-class dining.

Our room was nothing short of perfection—elegantly designed, immaculately clean, and offering a view that felt like a dream. Waking up to the serene beauty of nature, with lush greenery and tranquil water stretching before us, was pure magic. The entire setup of the lodge is next-level, seamlessly blending luxury with a peaceful, rustic charm.

A special mention goes to Amanda, an absolute star of the restaurant team! Her warm personality and exceptional service made our dining experience even more enjoyable. And what a gentleman Richard was—professional, courteous, and truly a pleasure to interact with. They both deserve the highest praise for their dedication and hospitality.

And then there’s the food… If we could give the kitchen 10 stars, we absolutely would! Every dish was crafted to perfection, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. It’s rare to find a place where both the atmosphere and the culinary experience are equally outstanding, but The Blades achieves this effortlessly.

We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape, a peaceful retreat, or simply an unforgettable getaway, The Blades is the place to be. We will definitely be returning, and we can’t wait to experience the magic all over again!

It’s difficult to comprehend that such a beautiful setting exists only minutes from the city. Beautiful venue with excellent service. Hotel rooms clean, comfortable and extremely well-appointed. Function rooms outstanding with food fit for a king. Highly recommended for some well deserved R&R and/or any function. We’ll most definitely be back.
